Position Overview: Reporting to the Team Leader of the Schools Wellbeing Program, the successful candidate will provide therapeutic counselling services to individuals, children, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling to children and families addressing issues such as emotional and psychological trauma, anxiety, depression, life-stage issues, and behavioural problems.
  • Implement intervention strategies based on sound theoretical frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as referring agencies.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a recognised degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling.
  • Has demonstrable experience working with children and addressing various psychological issues.
  • Shows proficiency in implementing evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Is a proactive team player with a genuine passion for the sector.
  • Willing to work within the Catholic ethos of the organisation.
  • Holds a current Driver’s Licence and is willing to travel.
