Essential skills for the position

  • Tertiary qualifications in Administration/Business Management/Finance and/or substantial demonstrated experience providing administrative and operational support at a supervisor or management level
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team of administration staff, providing direction, support, conflict resolution, and guidance to ensure the achievement of organisational goals
  • Proficiency in performing various administrative tasks such as reception duties, appointment scheduling, event coordination, and general office management with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to be adaptive and flexible to directly performs tasks within areas of responsibility and oversight
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exercise sensitivity, discretion and confidentiality
  • Expertise in the creation and maintenance of organisational forms, utilising document control systems to ensure compliance with organisational policies
  • Advanced computing skills in word processing, email, spreadsheets, with proficiency in the use of Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and processes relating to cash receipting, banking and bank reconciliations, credit card management, accounts payable and receivable
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Willingness to work within the Catholic identity and ethos of the organisation.
